Muriel E. Newton-White

Muriel E. Newton-White (1928 – 2011) was a visual and literary artist who spent her days capturing the beauty of northern Ontario in paint, pencil, and ink. 

Over the course of her 60-year career, Muriel E. Newton-White created countless oils and watercolours, and wrote and illustrated 25 books published by the Highway Bookshop.

Muriel E. Newton-White’s paintings now hang in private, corporate, and government collections across the globe.
